Wildfish Seafood Grille ~ San Antonio, Texas

I finally made it over to Wildfish Seafood Grille right off 1604 & Huebner road in San Antonio, Texas and was so glad I did.  Wildfish Seafood Grille ~ San Antonio, Texas ~ Kristin Moran

We made a reservation for 7:15 and we were happy we thought of doing so.  There were a ton of people there.  Outside seating was packed and so was the bar, this was a Thursday night, I was shocked.  As soon as you walk in the front doors the atmosphere is contagious.

Wildfish has outside dining as well as inside or just hang out at the bar.

The tables are very elegantWildfish Seafood Grille ~ San Antonio, Texas ~ Kristin Moran and the atmosphere is

fun and entertaining, wait staff is friendly and the food is great.

We started with the calamari which was a bit spicy but delicious and then went towards the main course - Filet Mignon.

We had the option of having our Filet's "Oscar Style" which we did.  Oscar Style is a sauce that is a mixutre of crabmeat, garlic, asparagus, butter and olive oil. MMMMMMMMMM.  So good.

Kristin - Filet Mignon "Oscar Style" sounds delicious to me!  I haven't had filet mignon in ages...It sounds like a great place!   :)

Kristin, I love this place even though it is popular and pretty crowded.  If you go between 4 - 7 you can sit in the bar area and everything is half-price, including drinks.  I think you have to order from the bar menu to do that.  Sounds like a nice evening.

Thenk you for not showing a picture of the filet.  Otherwise, I would probably hop in the car and drive to SA.  Sounds like a great place.

Debi - And it was delicious.  We had a bottle of wine that was new to me also, a mixture of a Pino Grigio and a something else.  Superb.

Anne - Come on over girl!  I'll go again :D.

SP - Fun, Fun, right?  I had a tough time deciding because of the name of the place I felt I should be eating seafood but opted for MEAT.

Keith - Ha.  Never seems to fail, I take pics like crazy and then when food is in front of me I am so distracted it's like the picture story ends.  My pups were VERY happy with the filet scraps.  KM

Kristin - You can put crabmeat on a piece of caardboard and I'd love it.  Sounds like a good place...close to my office...dangerous.

I visited San Antonio a few years ago. Downtown San Antonio is so unique, and beautiful! I ate at several restaurants while I was there. Only now I can't remember the names of them  =(  I wish I could. One of them was fantastic.

Kristin, I haven't been there yet.  It's on our list but there are so many new restaurants in San Antonio, especially around Loop 1604, it's hard to get to all of them.  Your dinner sounds delicious -- hmmm, crabmeat and filet mignon -- what could be better.  I love crabmeat on anything everything!

This sounds like a place I would really like.  I'm itching to go back to San Antonio and when I do I'm going to remember this place!

It's still breakfast time here, but I'm getting hungry for a real meal already...  Sounds like you had an evening of good food and company.
