San Antonio, Texas ~ Newest one stop shopping ~ H-E-B Alon Market ~

San Antonio got a very special H-E-B added today at 8503 N.W. Military Highway.  Called the H-E-B Alon (which means oak in Hebrew) it opened it's doors this morning at 6 a.m..

Said to be San Antonio's
H-E-B Alon Market

with everything from the basics to the biggest kosher selections in town.  At 128,000 squre feet "food emporium" which is said to have the biggest selection of kosher foods in town.

The newest H-E-B came at the expense of two other stores closing (Huebner Road & Lockhill Selma) which wasn't favorable to some but is expected to be a benefit for most.  Some of the employees from the closed stores were transferred to the newest H-E-B location.

There is another H-E-B expected to open it's next store, an H-E-B plus at 281 & Evans Road October 28th.  To read the full article on this exciting new add to SA click here!

What a cool store! We don't have anything like that here. I LOVE stores that have interesting food. This looks like a huge benefit to the community. GBU!

128,000 square feet! Holy monster store, Batman! Out here we would call that a Wal-Mart. LOL Glad to see that at least one company is doing well enough to give Wal-Mart some competition.
