We made it to Chicago (actually Lombard but close enough!)!
We had quite an ordeal at the airport since we didn't have a reservation for a car but we had a delightful dinner! We found ourselves a hop, skip & a jump from the Westin Hotel at Brio Tuscan Grille and boy was it delicious!
After googling Brio I find it is mainly in Ohio, Florida, GA & other states around the area. We don't have one in SA so we set out to try something new! We were glad to find it! Here's the cute little patio area where you can watch the outdoor shoppers: Inside it's really romantic, the lights are dimmed & there are a couple of fire places throughout the restaurant around the bar area:
We started out with the steak Bruschetta which was very delicious & then had the tomato bisque soup.
and we ended with their creme brulee trio. A regular creme brulee, a Carmel creme brulee & a hazelnut creme brulee. Muy bueno!
It looks beautiful & tasted spectacular. Here are the happy, tired, Texas girls in Chicago!

I have been to two Brio's that just opened here in D/FW. They are awesome!!! Those tiny deserts are the best.
Thanks for sharing pics.
Looks like fun. Thanks for sharing
Brio's is amazing. I recently traveled to D/FW myself and ate at the newest Brios and was overly impressed with their food and all of their great employees.
Kristin, glad you are having a good time in the Windy City. Been there many times. Didn't know as Mel said we had a Brio's here. I'll have to check it out.
We got our first Brio in Denver this summer, love it.
That looks like a wonderful place to try if we get to Chicago. Enjoy.
Mel - Oh my gosh! I didn't know Texas has one now! That's exciting! Thanks for the news! I thought we had to go all the way to IL to eat here again! The desserts were fabulous!
Terri - Thanks for stopping by!
Tyler - How new is it? I will definitely be finding that one when I get out that way.
Gary - It has only just begun! It has proven itself to be the windy city though.
Amanda - Me too!
Bob & Carolin - Thanks for stopping by!
Always liked Chicago....went to the top of the Sears Tower, great pizza, all kinds of stuff to do. Not as much fun in January or February though! LOL Have a good rest of the week!
Hi Rick- I agree! Now way I am coming out this way when it is that chilly! BRRRRRRR. Can't handle it.
Man, you blogged all the way from Chicago? You are good! I was there once for a Tradeshow but never really got to check it out. What I really wanted to do was see Oprah! Looks like a great place to eat!
I don't know where they all are. There is one in Allen, TX. and Southlake, TX. I have friends living in both and that is why I went to them. They were similar and fabulous!!! Neal Bloom mentioned one and I think he is in Florida. They ROCK! Not exactly Olive Garden, eh?
