I haven't done one of these types of posts in awhile. Can't even remember what edition this is, pfft, who cares, here we go......
- Buyers showed up with a pre-approval letter and a quoted interest rate of 3.78% HOLY COW, that's awesome!
- Listing agents will tell you way too much sometimes, all you have to do is ask!
- People who seem hesitant of you in the beginning grow to like you & will eventually greet you with a hug & a smile.
- Not all agent's look like the picture on their business card.
- If you are racing to eat your chicken sandwich in the parking lot of a church before showings, slow it down, your client might be late.
- The word's "Short Sale" scare some, not me.
- It's blazing hot in Texas & we need some rain, like bad!
- Some thieves make lists of vacant homes for their "appliance hit list", watch out & check your vacant listings.
- If you leave your car doors unlocked your GPS will be stolen. Along with your coupon book (that looks like a wallet, jokes on them!) & your son's diaper bag. Hopefully, they need diapers worse than we do.
- Gas prices are WAY too high!
- If you narrow down your search to three homes & then want to see them again in a week to make your final decision, one of them will go under contract by then, maybe two.
- Some agent's still prefer to bring an offer to you in person.
That's it folks! That was alot! It was a good week! Looking forward to the next one. I will leave you with this sweet boy......

How true it is about Listing Agents saying way to much. I just listen when they talk. Thanks for the post!
Cute photo, Kristin! Your list sounds like you had an interesting week.
Kristin, This is the first of your 'What I learned in Real Estate This Week' blogs that I have seen. Enjoyed it very much! It's sometimes amazing to me how we agents sometimes can't keep our mouths shut. I learned a long time ago when I was on the local school board that reporters will just not talk after they ask you a couple of questions. Most people can't stand the silence and so fill it. So will real estate agents!
Sounds like someone learned loads this week! Awful that someone stole your GPS and we do need some rain. I am trying to locate someone who can do a rain dance :)!!!
Kristin as a grandpa of three sweet boys I can recognize them when I see them and you’ve got one. These little guys make it all worthwhile. Looks like you had an “interesting” week. Hope next week’s list includes depositing a big commission check.
He's adorable and growing so fast... too bad he and Landon can't be friends...
Hi David - They do, dont they? Love it!
Thank you, Maria - without a doubt!
you are so correct Marge, I went back & looked, this little guy has really seeped into my blogging posts BUT, he's the best!
Hi Brenda! Me too girl, me too! :D
Oh, David, those boys look like they would give me a cavity they are so sweet! Without a doubt you can spot a sweet one when you see it!
Donna - Um, yea, move to SA? :D
Kristin-Amazing what we can learn if we just slow down to observe and absorb. Two things that I seldom take time to do myself.
