This was a much anticipated event, we heard ActiveRain was setting up a Raincamp for Texas in 2010 & we had to be a part of it!
It's always exciting when you meet folks you have met online & you feel like you know them already! It was no different at Raincamp yesterday in Dallas, Texas...
The day started packed full of great information with presentations by Ben Kinney, Bob Stewart & Brad Andersohn, our heads were spinning as we furiuosly took notes.
Some great websites were thrown our way as well as tips & tricks to make our blog posts stand out & get noticed by google & complete our goal of getting found by folks looking to buy or sell Real Estate. By the end of the day we were so chocked full of information, ideas & tricks it was time for a break!
We were sooooo excited to meet everyone in person & chat face to face with those we have chatted with online for so long! It was so nice meeting everyone!
Here's Brad Andersohn sharing everything he knows!
After lunch there was a panel of great minds sharing what they know about blogging & how they use it in their businesses, Jason Crouch, Debe Maxwell, Josh Harley.
When Raincamp ended we all headed over for some mingling where we got to know folks better & of course take pictures with them!
Russell Lewis, Gary Woltal, Amanda Hall, Bob Stewart, Sheila Moran, me & Jeanna Martinez
Jason Crouch, Debe Maxwell, Sheila Moran, me & Jeanna Martinez
It was great to finally meet John Cannata & Wayne Warshawsky
Us and Brad Andersohn
AND FINALLY! We were delighted & happy to meet the man himself, who made Activerain come to life & provide such education, entertainment & networking, Jonathan Washburn!
We had a blast, we learned a ton & we met some folks we have been dying to meet. Now we're tired, overwhelmed with info & headed back to San Antonio! See you at the next Raincamp!

Hi Kristin, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and your sister and RainCamp was a blast!
Wow! Looks like everyone had a great time!
Great post! Sorry I missed out. There must have been a ton of very helpful information.
Hi Kristin! It was GREAT meeting you yesterday! What a great time and the AR staff was wonderful! I'm still here waiting for my flight. You got some AWESOME photos too! I've got alot of corresponding to do now! LOL
Have a wonderful Wednesday...
I would have loved to attend, but it just wasn't possible this time. How about having it in Austin (central to everyone in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio) next time?
We can hold out the lure of great BBQ, awesome music, and, well - Austin! - for those who put it on.
Sooo much information! If I get half of it implemented I will be happy. Great to meet everyone!
Tricia: I live in Austin, too, but have yet to have any "great" BBQ! =)
Hi Kristin -- Thanks for the photos. Any nuggets to share?
Hi Kristin... it was great to finally meet you yesterday! I hope we have more chances to get together in the future!
Kristin - Glad we finally had a chance to meet in person! I hope to see you at the Barcamp in Austin next month - maybe we can actually talk more. :) Great pictures - thanks for sharing them.
Hi Kristin, It looks like everyone had a great time and you got some great photos to share with everyone. Thanks!
Kristin - oh how fun!!!! Debe is almost as tall as Jason :) I wish I could have attended. One of these days.
Rita - Right you are. Debe is 6'1" and I'm 6'4". :)
Thanks for sharing. I was ready to go, when I realized I had a meeting last night that I had to attend here in Houston. Speaking of Houston---Have a Rain Camp in Houston. I MIGHT COULD make Austin, it would be easier than Dallas. I want to go!!!
It was definitely a fun and educational time yesterday. I'll put some pictures together either tonight or tomorrow... just got back into town and heading out for an appt.
Kristin, thanks for the pictures. That adds a lot to see the faces of peoples names we get to know.
It was a good day full of information. By the end of the day I was in information overload. So many new tools and so little time. The youtube 99 Balloons sure made an impressionon me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=th6Njr-qkq0
What a great raincamp. I can't wait for the next one.
Looks like you guys had an awesome time and met some great folks. I'm jealous!
Hi Kristin-I was just thinking about your the other day because I had not been by you blog in a while! This is a great post about the fun you had at the Raincamp! Thanks for sharing your pictures, but where is Matt hiding out?
Kristin - Looks like a good time. Wish I could have fit it in somehow. Good news is that I can copy notes off of you!
Terrie - I'm right here. Haven't been posting a lot on ActiveRain lately. Hope you're well.
So glad you got to go, Kristin.
Hope you learned lots, meeting folks in real life (IRL) is the best.
Looks like a great time of fun and learning. I hope they come to Denver soon!
Looks like I missed all the fun!!
Sound interesting and fun. I'd like to attend a AR camp one of these days.
Patricia
We must have just passed each other. Sorry I didn't get to say Hi personally.
I always regret that I didn't attend one of these! I can't wait 'til it comes to Atlanta, but I would have loved to meet all the Texans!
Kristin - I know I had a whole lot of fun at the NYC Rain Camp. Looks like you did too... Awesome wasn't it?
I'm so jealous :) Looks like a GREAT group of folks. I'm hoping to take in a couple of Raincamps this year. I bet your mind is on overload!!!
That is such a fun event. Sorry I missed the after hour party. I heard you guys had a blast. My wife certainly did. I think we should suggest rain camp to be an event for 2 or 3 days.
Kristin, it was a totally unique and wonderful conference wasn't it?
Nice pics..
I met several people but there just wasn't enough time to meet and greet everyone!!
Kristin, hope you had as much fun at Dallas raincamp as we did at NY Raincamp. It definitely leaves you clamoring for more. Maybe we can turn this into a two day event?
Hi Kristin, I attended the Rain Camp in New York City last month and was very impressed.
Man... I'm a BIG boy!! 'Sisters That Sell', it was such a pleasure to finally meet the two of you. And I'm especially happy you brought Jeanna Martinez with you. I've spoken to the three of you online (twitter and AR) for so long. I'll be out that way shortly and will let you know for sure.
WooHoo! It is always great to meet more cool kids! I enjoyed meeting you and am looking forward to seeing you again. :)
Love these photos, thank you for sharing. RainCamp was in New York last month, I thought it was such a blast!
Kristin...
Wow, it looks like everyone had a great time. Thanks for all of the great photos.
Some great pictures and great seeing some of the crew "live". It is always great getting away from the office and sharing with people belly-to-belly, especially when it is such a great bunch of characters!
JASON: I'm ONLY 5'13"...
