Kristin's Blog: And the rain keeps coming down in San Antonio, Texas!

And the rain keeps coming down in San Antonio, Texas!

And the rain keeps coming down in San Antonio, Texas!

We've been moaning & groaning about it for months.  Grass, plants & our spirits were dead.  Fireworks were cancelled on the 4th of July & the "burn ban" has been in effect I can't even remember how long.

We've tried doing the "rain dance" as well as the "go away drought disco", heck we even got desperate & started doing the "flooding fandango" ALL, without any luck.

Sometime last week all our hopes were answered, it started to RAIN!  Little baby drops then great big drops then for days non-stop & everything was wet, things started looking perkier & everyone forgot how to drive again!  It's a beautiful thing!  AND, it hasn't stopped!

We really needed it so we won't complain, here's the rain in all it's beauty:

Kristin - We have had a ton of rain here, too, as you probably already know.  I like it!

Kristin,

The rain is wonderful, I was starting to get heat depression.  100 degrees for over 50 days was wearing on my soul.  I also think buyers were tired of the heat and would find any excuse to avoid a long weekend of getting in & out of an air conditioned car.  Walking through the heat up the drive, then back in to the car, waiting for it to cool off again, sticking to the leather seats.....ewww.  I know some of the Realtors I work with just left the car running in the drive way of the listings.

Hi Kristin, glad to see you are receiving the moisture.  John  btw - I think they invented interval wipers for those of us in the wet part of the Pacific Northwest, and not for your torrential downpours!

Wow!  We haven't had any in about 2 weeks.  Not desperate yet, but if a little of your moved our way, it would be nice.  Looks like everyone is still able to get out and around so, that's good.

Kristin-It rained here all day Saturday high temp was about 62, I think I'd rather be in Texas! At least it is warmer there.

I am loving all of this rain. Wish it came around more often, especially after a hot summer.

Kristin - The day I had to drop off two contracts was probably the worst rain I had seen in forever.  Bitters Road was a river.  Took me twice as long to get it all done, but in the end, I survived and it was worth it.  Let's get some more coming soon!

Kristin- rain stopped, but hopefully we can re-blog your blog this weekend if we get more much needed rain.

As a San Antonio Loan Officer we have been praying for rain, especially for my Hill Country clients who have larger spreads of land that will sell much better if they were only green.

Hopefully another front comes through this weekend.  Take Care!
