If you haven't been to Gratitude in Port Aransas, Texas the next time you are there you need to stop in.
I am a regular visitor to Port Aransas but had never heard nor been to Gratitude & I don't understand how! Gratitude is quite frankly the cutest shop I have ever seen, located at 316 North Station Street (next to the crazy cajun @ Beach & stations streets) I can't believe I have missed out on it's uniqueness all these years.
My nephew turned us all onto Gratitude, he talked about the cool sunglasses you can get there that he found out about from one of his teachers. He explained the shop to us as "Everything is pink, the building is pink, the lady who own's it has a pink car & even her hair is pink!" I had to check this pink chick out so off we went!
My nephew was so right on the money! When you drive up all you see is pink! My nephew relayed correctly, pink car parked out front, a life sized Marilyn Monroe cut out stands outside & bubbles blow in the wind non-stop.
What kind of a place is this? Let's go inside! We went for the sunglasses but found so much more.
Jewelry, wall signs, magnets & toys were all around us, we left with other things we couldn't live without. The shop itself isn't that big but it is jam-packed with good stuff and YES, the owner's hair is pink.
Gratitude has something for everyone, even the men in your life & if he can't find anything there's a special "Husband chair..." sit down, relax, enjoy the atmosphere....Let her SHOP! It affectionately reads. What did I say? Something for everyone....
