If you haven't heard the new radio spots put out from the Texas Association of Realtors (TAR) you are really missing out. Each time I hear one I smile. There are three of them, "What's really going on?", "Don't assume" and "Your situation". I believe even if I wasn't a Realtor they would make me think twice about what is going on in our little part of the world.

There are so many misconceptions about what is going on created by the media, TAR is "taking matters into their own hands" and educating the public to the truth of the Texas Real Estate market and I applaud them. Some of the facts they list on their website are:
- 91% of buyers in Texas were NOT rejected by lenders last year.
- Texas added 153,700 jobs from December 2007 to December 2008.
- While sales prices in California, Florida, Nevada, Arizona, and other states have had rapid rises and drops in values, Texas prices have remained relatively steady.
I don't know about you, but I find these stats to be extremely encouraging! I feel our TAR dollars are being used very wisely and to that I say THANK YOU! I got this in the mail today:
The postcard gives a ton of useful information and ways to leverage "The Ask a Texas REALTOR campaign". Here's some of the free stuff you can find on their website:

I am taking the TAR's helpful messages straight to TEXANS everywhere! Spread the news!
