The Holiday lights are down, the stockings are stuffed back in their box with the ornaments and now the tree is ready to find a new place to call home, other than your living room.
So, what do we do with this tree?
Give your tree new life and take part in a "Tree-dition". Yea, that's right, if you live in San Antonio, Texas you have the benefit of just dragging it out to your front lawn and it will get recycled! How easy is that?
Automated collection residents pick up is Wednesday, January 7th and Manual collection residents trees will be picked up Saturday, January 10th. Just take all the items off it, if it's larger than 6", cut it in half and drag it out to the front of your lawn(where you usually leave your trash) prior to 7AM.
Your tree and other San Antonio residents trees will be taken to Bitters Brush Recycling Center (1800 Bitters Road), and shredded into pine mulch. The mulch from Christmas trees will be available to the public for free on a "first come, first serve" basis beginning, Saturday, January 17 at the Bitters Brush Recycling Center.
