Won't you be my neighbor?

How frequently does one actually get to know or even like their neighbors?  I mean, seriously, most of us are of the mindset to open our garage, drive into it and close it without giving the neighbors a glance, smile or even a nod.  Others are lucky, get to know and like their neighbors and become close friends. 

I have owned three homes in my lifetime, all in San Antonio.  I had a series of bizarre happenings last year one after the other, my buyers bought in the same neighborhoods as the home I grew up in, my first home purchase and my second home purchase.  This week I had the opportunity to sell a home on the street I live on now!  How's that for picking your neighbors?     

I have been showing a couple in the area & price range they requested.  They were looking to move closer to their daughter that they spend a considerable amount of time with.  Of the homes that were in the area & price range they requested, their number 1 choice just so happens to be on my street!

Welcome, WELCOME, WELCOME, Tara Campbell!

Usually when my sister Sheila and I go to ANY function, she is the social BUTTERFLY and I kinda hang out with her and mingle.  Sheila can talk to anyone, make friends with anyone and everyone loves her by the end of the event.  We went to Houston for a Broker/Owner training "Fast Track" Monday & Tuesday of this week and I was very glad to meet two NEW AR'ers, Tara Campbell and Paula Flores. 

This DYNAMIC DUO reminded Sheila and I of eachother.  Tara was me and Paula was Sheila.  Tara & Paula just opened their own RE/MAX office in Killeen, Texas, they are together RE/MAX Family.  Tara & Paula work well together, think in different arenas and compliment each other perfectly.  They were the Sheila & Kristin version in the Tara & Paula form of Laverne & Shirley. 

So, anyway, I was glad to know that one was the more techy of the two (Tara) & the other was more of a social BUTTERFLY (Paula).  Tara just posted her first blog post here!

Stop by & say hello, Tara's fun, smart & ambitious!  Oh, BONUS, she's from TEXAS!

The Moran Team ~ Hanging out in Houston!

Well, ok, we weren't really just hanging out, we were actually at a Broker/Owner meeting for RE/MAX. 

Imagine sitting in your office and looking out the window...on one side is a beautiful golf course and on the other side are planes taking off for new adventures.

We were hoping this little trip would be worth our time away from our new venture and it proved itself to be.  We were able to tour the ground's, check out Richard Filip's office and listen to how he got involved with RE/MAX.

Why I love living in San Antonio! Reason #2: SAN ANTONIO HAS TEXAS PRIDE!

Welcome to the 2nd installment of "Why I love living in San Antonio!".  If you missed my first installment you can check it out but now it's time for my #2 Reason for continuing to be in love with San Antonio!

Reason #2:  SAN ANTONIO HAS TEXAS PRIDE!

Just a short drive down a residential street and you will see it.  In some parts it yells out at you, screaming for attention but undoubtedly, it's there.  Texas flags, boots, hats, spurs and trucks, nothing goes without Texas branding in some parts, here's proof:

If you were from another part of the world and suddenly you were plunked down into San Antonio, you would know you were somewhere in Texas.

Pride in our state is very apparent.  I haven't been to another part of the world that has more state "stuff" than San Antonio.  We just love our state and it shows!

Liz Moras spotted in Cowboy Country!!

There have been quite a few Liz Moras sightings around TEXAS, we heard about one in Dallas, then there was Austin so we kept waiting and watching to see if she would make it to our fair city of San Antonio? 

The wait is over!  Liz was spotted along the San Antonio Riverwalk in true tourist style, with her new friend Susie from her Keller Williams class.   My sister Sheila and I quickly followed her tracks and met up with her in New Braunfels, Texas.

Why I love living in San Antonio! Reason #1: THE WEATHER!

I am very excited to bring your a series of posts about "Why I love living in San Antonio!"  I have lived in San Antonio my entire life and have loved every minute of it.  I am going to share in (who knows how many) posts my reasons for continuing to be in LOVE with San Antonio! 

So, here goes, reason number 1:  THE WEATHER! 

I know there are folks out there with piles of snow outside their door, BUT, you won't find that in San Antonio.  In fact, you won't find snow at all!  The summers are HOT and the winters are, well, NOT SO HOT. 

San Antonio weather - Kristin Moran

Most days in San Antonio, you will need a light jacket in the morning but by afternoon you are throwing it to the side.  On occasion you will get a day or two where a medium sized jacket is necessary but that's it.  I don't even own a HEAVY JACKET, if I went somewhere it was cold I would need to borrow one. 

If you are ready to make a move to warm weather, San Antonio might be the place for you!  If you are interested in relocating to San Antonio i'd love to answer any questions you might have.
